Haycock Elementary was recognized by the Department of Education in 2014 as an exemplary high performing school. The school helped me cultivate my curiosity, drive to work, and, importantly, my personality and people skills. With close to 300 students, the students in this K through five school take part in the Shurley Method Language Program where students are given a concentrated program in English. The pre college programs offered to sign up for in the summer is my favorite part about my highschool because I have been able to experience the college life at Columbia, Cornell, and Brown University.
